Ashley Verner
Team Leader

Ashley Verner is a Team Leader at Live it Up. She spent four years at the ACT Supreme Court, managing criminal matters and engaging with people from diverse backgrounds. Realising her passion lay in helping and supporting others before they ever enter the justice system, Ashley shifted her focus to disability support work.

Yearning for a sea change (and coastal views), she relocated from Canberra to the Illawarra and joined Live it Up in August 2020. Ashley is driven by a commitment to uplifting individuals who face barriers, especially young people and those dealing with mental health challenges. She loves helping people learn new skills, explore experiences they’ve never had, and often discovers new things right alongside them.

Ashley holds a Certificate III in Disability Support, a Mental Health Certificate, and has completed the Person Brain Module focusing on trauma—qualifications that highlight her dedication to genuine, person-centred care. Ashley’s passion is to help close the gaps in the support system and creating positive change every step of the way.
